I got this Optiquest Viewsonic V775 17″ monitor from my previous work back in 2001. The company says that they’ve had it since 1997 when it was a brand new unit. So that’s roughly around 10 years of service.
Two days before the start of 2007, the morning of December 30, I was still using it to draw rough ideas for my wallpapers and commissions. I went out to do some errands, when I came back to check my mail, the monitor won’t turn on.
It just died.

Happy 2007 to everyone.
I guess this is a new chapter for me as well. My plans on improving my art this year includes a total upgrade on my current hardware, excluding of course my tablet seeing as its fairly new.
With getting a much more powerful system (a dual core processor x2), opposite it I plan for this year to go back to basics. I’ve been diving into this a few months back now, trying to retrace the steps that took me to here and now artwise. The purpose is to look through those steps to see what I might have forgotten along the way. The influences that made an impact on my life that somehow got thrown away.
So I hope as this year progresses, as I go back, I move forward.
