Rumors have been flying in and around the internet since early last year about this so-called hybrid of the iPod. And now Steve Jobs announces it during the Macworld Conference and Expo 2007.
The iPhone. A mobile phone that’s also a web browser (among other things) with a 4GB or 8GB memory. Oh yeah, it also plays music.
Well, as much as I love my Powerbook and my iPod, and Apple in general, this is one product that won’t be part of my arsenal.
Everyone who has known me or have been following me throughout my online life knows that I am fond of my iPod. I had the 4th gen Photo which I sold to my sister and got myself a 5th Gen in black. Everyone who knows me will tell you that I can’t function right without music streaming through my ears. Its just the way I concentrate. And mp3 players just made it that easier for me.
All I can say is, if I wanted to have a phone that plays music, I’d probably bought one of those Walkman phones from Sony Ericsson. But I like my music player and my phone to be separate entities. But seeing its from Apple, to anyone who is into the hybrid gadgets, its definitely a good product to have.

My iPod is still better than Zune.

The Zune simply zucks.

I keep hearing about this new gadget too, looks interesting, but I have a saying–there’s no need to rock the boat if the sailing is already smooth. I’ve got a nice phone and a nice mp3 player, and there’s no need to have both in one device. It is cool though. But I wonder how much it will cost?

I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one, but where I work, they provide me with a free cell and service. Apple can’t beat free. I’d still like ti get an iPod - company says no to a free mp3 player, darn.

I’m actually kinda tempted by it, though it’s the iPod function that leasts excites me. I like the google maps feature, means I could get my directions wherever I go. Also, it doesn’t look like you’ll need to upgrade very often since instead you’ll get updates. And it’s kinda sexy too. And it’s so much nicer than my current phone. I just want it, k?
