TIP: Draw in High Res

“Why are your lines so crisp and smooth while mine looks so pixelly?”
This is a comment on one of my YouTube videos. I know there probably are a few more with similar subjects.
My lines look so crisp because of PPI. Pixel Density or PPI (pixels per inch) is a is a measurement of resolution based on printer resolution (DPI).
I always have my canvas, whether in Photoshop™ or Painter™, set to either 300 – 600 PPI (usually on a 12″ x 18″ canvas). It is simply good common sense to draw large and shrink down than to scale up in a digital image.

So if your machine can handle the load, draw in high resolution.
